Bass - Fred Grennan

Fred Grennan, a talented bassist, discovered his passion for music at a young age. At just 12 years old, he picked up the bass guitar and embarked on a musical journey that would shape his life. Hailing from Detroit, Fred has been a part of several original bands, each contributing to his growth as a musician.

From the early days of Deceiver to the energetic sounds of The Mutes, 11 speed, Fred's bass lines have resonated through the Detroit music scene. He brought his skills and creativity to bands like Blissfield, Free Dirt, Lobby Rats, Woodward Smoke and currently, Resurrection Story. With each band, Fred has left his mark, showcasing his dedication and love for rock music.

Fred's journey as a bassist is a testament to his talent and hard work. His passion for music continues to drive him forward, as he explores new sounds and pushes the boundaries of his craft.

Vocals - Ronnie Schoenstein

From the tender age of 9, Ronnie Schoenstein embarked on a musical journey that would weave a tale of passion, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to the art of rock. Born with an innate gift, Ronnie discovered the magic of singing and playing the piano simultaneously, setting the stage for a remarkable career that would see him rise to prominence as a vocal virtuoso.

As a child Ronnie's fingers danced across the piano keys with a grace beyond his years. However, it was his voice that truly set him apart. Mesmerizing audiences from a young age, he soon realized that his true calling lay in the art of singing. From that point forward, his vocal prowess became the focal point of his musical journey. 

A defining moment in Ronnie's career came at the age of 17 when he found himself in a private audience, singing for none other than the Pope. This extraordinary experience not only showcased his exceptional talent but also hinted at the profound impact his voice would have on listeners around the world.

In the early stages of his career, Ronnie lent his vocal talents to the dynamic sound of Sedition Incorporated. While he had initially honed his skills as a pianist, the allure of his voice became undeniable. In Sedition Incorporated, Ronnie took center stage, captivating audiences with his emotive delivery and magnetic stage presence.

The Pinnacle of Sedition Incorporated's journey saw Ronnie and the band sharing stages with rock royalty. Opening for the likes of Alien Ant Farm, Days of the New, and Fuel, Ronnie Schoenstein proved that his voice could not only hold its own but elevate the entire musical experience. These experiences with renowned acts laid the groundwork for what would become an illustrious career in the world of rock.

Currently reigning as the lead singer of Resurrection Story, Ronnie has found his home in the realm of progressive rock. Steering the band through intricate musical landscapes, his voice serves as the guiding force behind Resurrection Story's sonic explorations. The marriage of Ronnie's evocative vocals with the band's progressive compositions creates a symphony that transcends the conventional boundaries of rock.

Guitar - Jason Charboneau

Meet Jason Charboneau, a Detroit-based multi-string instrumentalist with a passion for the cello and guitar. Starting his musical journey with the violin at the age of 9, Jason later switched to the cello in high school and picked up the guitar as a hobby, which eventually became his second instrument leading to many other string instruments which he has played in some capacity.

In 1986, Jason had an amazing opportunity to attend the International Congress of Strings in New York, working with Hans Jensen and Joseph Silverstein and even playing Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center.

After attending Wayne State University to study Cello Performance under the guidance of Richard Piippo, which exposed him to the vibrant and artistic Detroit music scene of the mid to late '80s. This experience fueled his passion for music even more.

Jason embarked on an exciting musical career. He became a part of various bands, including notable ones like Ethan Daniel Davidson, the Mutes, Merge, Ryan Dillaha(as a cellist), Carolyn Striho, Jackie Stahl and the White Russians, King Sleeves, Rock Harley as Johnny Cash(Johnny Cash tribute), Punky Montana(Frank Zappa tribute), Big Bang, Slaves of Tyranny, and more. Also Jason was a part of many of the Detroit areas orchestras throughout his years, including but not limited to Macomb Symphony Orchestra, Rochester Symphony, Birmingham/ Bloomfield Symphony, Dearborn Summer Festival Orchestra, Grosse Point Symphony, Saint Clair Shores Symphony, Warren Symphony, Scandinavian Symphony, plus many others.

In recent years, Jason has been a part of the Moody Blues’ John Lodge and the 10,000 Light Years Band as a cellist and occasional second guitar, recording multiple albums including the latest release, "Days of Future Passed-My Sojourn." He has also contributed to the Guess Who's new album, "Plein D'Amour," and collaborated with numerous other artists throughout his career. Jason's musical diversity and adventurous style make him a sought-after session player. With his blues and blues-rock influences, he has also pursued a solo career as a frontman, releasing his first solo outing “Troubled” in 2021. A Blues and Blues Rock album of 12 original songs all written, engineered, produced and played by himself(other than the drums and harmonica). Also true to his diversity as an artist he helped to form a progressive alternative hard rock band Resurrection Story that is starting to turn heads.

Drums - Matt Sabin

Matt's journey in music began with his father, a high school band director, who introduced him to the wonders of the drum set at a young age. Enthralled by the instrument's versatility and power, Matt insisted on playing drums from the fourth grade onward. From his first drum set in seventh grade to formal lessons and daily practice sessions, Matt immersed himself in the world of drumming. Drawing inspiration from iconic drummers like Phil Rudd of AC/DC, John Bonham of Led Zeppelin, and Stewart Copeland of The Police, he honed his craft and developed his own unique style. Throughout high school and college, Matt's passion for percussion only grew. He marched in Drum Corps International and performed at collegiate sporting events, all while teaching marching percussion and drum set to aspiring musicians. Collaborating with Resurrection Story, Matt has found immense fulfillment in making music.
